Basic Characteristics and Origin of Coriander


Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is an herbaceous plant, which has a dual purpose - it is used as a spice in cuisines of Asia and South America, but also in the natural treatment.

Among other nutrients, coriander contains calcium, potassium, phosphorus and iron in particular. 

Since the vitamins, most represented is vitamin C, then vitamin A.

- Shredded parsley leaves

The tea should be drink unsweetened before each meal and one hour before bedtime. 

Mask for acne treatment


It's necessary:

- Fresh-pressed juice from coriander leaves
- Turmeric powder

Mix the ingredients and mix well to formed pasta. Apply in a thin layer on the before clean face and parts with acne. The mask is applied for several consecutive days.


The Use of Coriander in the Kitchen


The coriander as a spice  is used in two ways:

- Fresh coriander leaves - in Asian and Mexican cuisine

- Coriander seeds - in European kitchens


Also, it should be noted that Asian cuisine use coriander in the preparation of well-known spice - curry and for mixture of spices for gingerbread.

Unlike coriander leaves, coriander seeds possess a mild taste and seeds found their use as fresh milled or slightly fried before adding the meat dishes, soups, salads, pastries and dough.
