How to properly exercise Yoga breathing?

When using yoga, it isn’t only important to correctly do asanas, it is also important to correctly breathing while working yoga. 

With the application of Sukha pranayama, favorable yoga breathing exercise, you’ll strengthen the lungs, heart, brings that oxygen enters to all cells, accelerate blood circulation, strengthen the nerves and reserve healthy energy in the body.

As with everyday breathing and Sukha pranayama breathing is done with a sigh and exhale. When you breathe, it comes through the ingestion of air into the lungs, thus creating more pressure in them and the gasses exchange is controlled, which makes oxygen binds to hemoglobin in the blood and distributed to each cell.


During exhalation, pressure in the lungs is reduced, and carbon dioxide is thrown out.

When breathing is done correctly, it will also coordinate the nervous system, which relaxes and also been enriched with oxygen through bloodstream. In this way, our brain and our mind are prepared for meditation, so Sukha pranayama is often using as an introduction to meditation.

Sit comfortably and lower the chin to the Adam's apple, to stretch the back of your neck and spine. Then, use Mrigi Mudra to control the flow of air through the nostrils. Nostrils partially closed to prolong inhalation and exhalation. Close the right nostril with your right thumb and exhale slowly through the left nostril; then inhale through the left nostril, close it with small and ring finger, while at the same time, you open the right nostril and silently, slowly and exhale through it. In the same way, again inhale through the right nostril, etc. One cycle consists of two breaths. Repeat this process for 5 minutes.
